Woodland Elementary School
YouthQuest is a comprehensive after school program that focuses on student learning and youth development. It is a school-based program that operates across multiple school districts in Flint and Genesee County. The program provides students at the elementary and middle school levels an opportunity to improve their academic skills, increase knowledge of good health and nutrition, grow their personal skills and become better prepared for future life and academic challenges.
At Woodland Elementary, YouthQuest students enjoy a wide range of activities, including fun with math, science, reading, computer lab, community service, career exploration, journey through history, arts and crafts, and sports. Each week, there is a speciall activity planned by Ms. Emily Lawrence and the entire YouthQuest site team!
Daily Schedule:
- 3:30-4:00 Check-In/Attendance & Dinner
- 4:00-4:15 Student Activity Choice
- 4:15-4:45 Homework Time
- 4:45-5:00 Snack
- 5:00-6:00 Academic Enrichment (Themed by Month)
- 6:00-6:30 Group Read & Dismissal
