Rankin Elementary School

RankinYouthQuest is a comprehensive after school program that focuses on student learning and youth development. It is a school-based program that operates across multiple school districts in Flint and Genesee County. The program provides students at the elementary and middle school levels an opportunity to improve their academic skills, increase knowledge of good health and nutrition, grow their personal skills and become better prepared for future life and academic challenges.

YouthQuest staff at Rankin ElementaryAt Rankin Elementary, YouthQuest students enjoy a wide range of activities, including fun with math, science, reading, Quiz Bowl, team building techniques/groups, computer lab, language arts, arts and crafts, and sports. Each week, there is a special activity planned by Mr. Joshua Brownfield and the entire YouthQuest site team!

Daily Schedule:

  • 4:15-5:15 Check-In/Attendance & Dinner
  • 5:15-5:45 Homework Time
  • 5:45-6:00 Book of the Week Discussion
  • 6:00-6:30 Sessions 1, 2 & 3 (Rotations)
  • 6:30-7:00 Snack & Dismissal
