YouthQuest is a comprehensive after school program that focuses on student learning and youth development. It is a school-based program that operates across multiple school districts in Flint and Genesee County. The program provides students at the elementary and middle school levels an opportunity to improve their academic skills, increase knowledge of good health and nutrition, grow their personal skills and become better prepared for future life and academic challenges.

At Brownell Elementary, YouthQuest students enjoy a wide range of activities, including fun with math, science, reading, life skills, social development; team building techniques/groups, computer activities, arts and craft, and sports.  Each week, there is a special activity planned by Ms. Andrienne Niles-Smith and the entire YouthQuest site team!

Daily Schedule:

• 2:51-3:05 Check-In/Attendance
• 3:05-3:15 Hygiene; Handwashing
• 3:15-4:00 Dinner & Homework Time
• 4:00-4:45 Mind-Time-Academic Enrichment
• 4:45-5:00 Session Transition
• 5:00-5:45 Recreation/Team Building/Social Development
• 5:45-6:00 Dismissal  & Parent Pick-up
